I think it was enough to point out that the award was given without much thought and accept it humbly rather than adding a negative to a negative. It was an excellent move also to draw attention to what he's trying to do and pointing out that it takes a united world to accomplish, and I don't believe he's doing it for 'p' points. He's honestly emphasizing his intentions to a global audience.

I disagree. I think he does whatever hes told to do and he actually doesnt care one way or another about anything.
His JOB is to tell us what is going to happen and act as if he thought it up.
Ive never been so sure about a "leader"he seems so phoney to me now it actually scares me. Another 3 months from now people are going to be boiling over with fury. 3 YEARS FROM NOW?!

I happen to slightly agree with that last statement of yours, but not likely for the same reasons. I feel that he makes himself too reachable. There is no reason he shouldn't bow in Japan, no reason his kids can't make their own beds, no reason him and his wife can't go on dates and publicly show their affinity for e/o. But it makes him seem less of a figure of power. I think people have to cross him for him to show his tiger side. That is... different than what I'd like to see.

He is a member of this world and he is affected and moved by it. It's evident he wants to change things for the better and weighs the consequences of each measure-- not in 'p' points, but in the effect on the future.
Where as bush was totally disconnected and divisive toward the American people. He USED our military forces for his own purposes. He did little to nothing to effect the world in a positive manner.
