Not really, which is the main joke I guess. Chico was a contestant on the X Factor. I don't think the model woman is a real celebrity, the woman whose son was murdered isn't a real person and neither is the aspiring journalist. The only marginally famous one in there is Lionel Blair, the dancer.

Flawlessly written monologue. This so perfectly sums up everything about reality TV, and in fact, all that we've become as a culture (not just a British or American culture...a world culture, because they watch the same Big Brother/Pop Idol shit all over the world). This was just about the best culmination of one of the best series ever.

So many comedians are funny but can't act very well. Wow, Ricky Gervais is unique, that scene makes you want to cry, same with the Office ending. Stephen and Ricky are absolute Legends in Comedy and Drama.
